Remember that creamy, delicious Orange Julius drink you would get at the mall (when the mall was still cool)? This recipe is a healthier version and is perfect for those hit-the-ground-running mornings. No matter how stressful the beginning of your day is — it’s so important to start with a vitamin punch. It’s amazing how just a little extra kick of vitamin C, antioxidants, and superfoods can give you the energy needed to turn a stressful challenge into a productive success.
I love this smoothie because it’s a great addition to a quick breakfast when a protein bar seems like the only option for a jam packed schedule. It takes minutes to make. My kids also enjoy this in the afternoon after school and brings some added joy with the super benefits of raw honey and added immune boost from orange juice. Drink and be joyful!
Orange Joyous Smoothie
Ingredients Ice Honey (raw if possible) Orange Juice Banana Strawberries
Directions Start by placing about ten cubes of ice into a small blender (any sized blender will work). Then fill it half way with orange juice. Next, add two to three sliced strawberries as well as one sliced banana. Add about a tablespoon of honey (or a little more depending on how sweet you like it). Blend it up and you have orange joy in a glass!
