Santa Monica, Calif., September 8, 2011 –thinkThin®, the industry leading weight-management protein bar company is honored to donate to the World Trade Center (WTC) Program, NYU/Bellevue Clinical Center of Excellence in New York City. The program has been providing medical and emotional health treatment to First Responders since 2002. In addition to providing traditional medical treatment, the WTC Program works to educate its patients on the value of a healthier lifestyle, either during illness or to support general wellness.
The WTC Program reached out to thinkThin® in an effort to obtain products that promote wellness to the First Responders of 9/11, teaching and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. The wellness package is given during patient’s medical visits, to show appreciation for their brave and selfless efforts during the 9/11 rescue and recovery efforts. In addition, the WTC Program educates patients about the relationship between self-care and wellness. “We are thrilled to be able to make this donation.
