Breaded Sardines Recipe - Impanata le sardine

Fresh sardines are really nothing like those found snuggly packed into a tin. Sardines caught locally and popped into a pan with a light covering of crumbs and a spritz of lemon are indeed a different thing all together.  Sardines are extremely good for you food, full or iron and protein.  To be honest, this is the first time I really enjoyed the taste of sardines.

Bread separately

Fry in light oil

Serve with lemon and olive oil

 

July – A Celebration of Basil – Tasting Tips

Make a cocktail snack: spread ricotta on toasted baguette slices, top with chopped basil and honey.
