What is thinkThin®?
thinkThin® is a “travel light” portable nutrition solution for foodies on the go. It’s a delicious, nutritious snack that delivers high-quality ingredients and protein to help boost energy.
What is your philosophy on non-GMO ingredients?
At thinkThin®, we recognize and support consumer demand for non-GMO ingredients. For our Lean Protein & Fiber, Protein Nut Bar and Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal products, all our ingredients are certified non-GMO by our suppliers. Both Protein Nut Bars and Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal are also verified by the Non-GMO Project (NGP). Mostly because NGP requires that dairy cows not consume any genetically modified corn, whey proteins are nearly impossible to verify as NGP, despite testing negative for GMOs at the supplier level. For this reason, our Lean Protein & Fiber product is not NGP-verified but is 100% non-GMO, which we designate with our own logo on our packaging. Our High Protein bars contain 100% non-GMO soy protein but are not NGP verified.
Are thinkThin® Protein & Fiber bars made with 100% non-GMO ingredients (i.e. are they GMO-Free)?
thinkThin® Protein and Fiber bars are made entirely with ingredients that are guaranteed GMO-free by our ingredient suppliers. These Identity Preserved (IP) and GMO-free programs are supported by both documentation and periodic testing (where appropriate).
Are thinkThin® Protein & Fiber bars Non-GMO Project (NGP) verified?
As described above, our bars contain 100% non-GMO ingredients, however, the non-GMO project does not recognize the dairy proteins used in our bars as NGP verifiable. It is currently not possible to provide the supporting documentation to confirm that the cows that supply the dairy proteins are not exposed to genetically recombinant material (feed corn) at some stage in the animal feed supply chain. Additionally, the NGP does not accept the use of the processing aid chymosin (used in the manufacture of the whey protein) even though no trace amounts remain in the dairy protein.
Are your products gluten free?
All thinkThin® bars have been gluten free since the company started, without sacrificing taste or quality. So whether you’re gluten intolerant or simply don’t like the way gluten makes you feel, you can indulge in all of our delicious gluten free bars with confidence.
Our new thinkThin® Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeals are not made with wheat ingredients; however, in the process of growing, harvesting, and processing, the oats may be exposed to low levels of residual wheat. If you have sensitivities to gluten, we do not suggest consuming our oatmeal products.
What is Low GI?
Foods with scores 55 and under on the glycemic index are considered low glycemic because they are digested slowly, resulting in more gradual changes in blood sugar levels. All thinkThin® High Protein Bars are certified Low Glycemic.
Does your product contain Maltitol?

What is glycerin and what is it derived from?
The glycerin we use is derived from plant sources. It is used as a humectant (an ingredient used to preserve the moisture content of the bar) and to help maintain a soft texture in the core of the bars.
How many net carbs are in your products?
Although many carb-conscious people try to determine the “net carbs” in a food product, based on the principle that not all carbohydrates affect the body in the same manner, FDA has not defined the term “net carbs.” thinkThin does not make “net carb” claims. We also do not calculate “net carbs” based on definitions used by others in the food industry.
The carbohydrate information regulated by the FDA is provided on the Nutrition Facts panel, which lists total carbohydrates and breaks them down into dietary fiber and sugars. Some carbohydrates, like simple or refined starches and sugars, are absorbed rapidly and have a high glycemic index. Other carbohydrates, such as the fiber found in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, move slowly through the digestive system, and some of it isn’t digested at all (insoluble fiber).

Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal
What is the whole grain blend used in thinkThin® Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal?
Our oatmeal is made with a blend of whole rolled oats, steel cut oats, and quinoa. Oats are a nutritious whole grains with a mild, lightly sweet flavor. While whole rolled oats are steamed and flattened, steel cut oats consist of the entire oat kernel that has been cut into smaller pieces to help water penetrate and cook the grain. Quinoa is known as an ancient grain that is high in protein. The combination of whole rolled oats, steel cut oats, and quinoa give our oatmeal a hearty, rich texture.
What are sprouted grains?
Sprouted foods are believed to be highly nutritious because they are rich in enzymes. Sprouted grains undergo major changes that provide seedlings the nutrients needed to transcend from seed to plant. In this case, you get the benefit of these nutrients.

We do not suggest that thinkThin® Protein & Fiber Hot Oatmeal be consumed raw. Although rolled oats and oat bran can be eaten raw, these products have been formulated for preparation with hot water or microwave cooking. Certain components, such as our steel cut oats and protein, need cooking in order to support proper digestion and nutrient absorption, and to support optimal taste experience.
